YNOTtawasaga Youth Council told they can “Bank on It”
South Simcoe – It’s not every day you receive an excited phone call from the local bank manager offering great news: they’ve received your letter and application and would like to drop off a large donation for a grassroots community program that’s “near and dear to your heart”.
Staff at Nottawasaga Futures were thrilled to learn that CIBC was signing on as a principal Corporate Partner for the YNOTtawasaga Youth Council, a two-year-old initiative directed at supporting youth living throughout South Simcoe.
“Helping young people to reach their full potential is a strategic focus of CIBC’s community investment program and that’s why we’re proud to be able to help the YNOTtawasaga Youth Council,” said Erich Scholz, CIBC’s Account Manager, Small Business and Agriculture in New Tecumseth’s Alliston Branch.
Nottawasaga Futures’ President, Mary Munnoch, said the donation was very much appreciated and couldn’t come at a better time.
“We’re always looking for corporate partners and enlightened leaders in the business community to set an example as well as lead the way. This generous donation will not only help fulfill the mission and vision for YNOTtawasaga, we’re hoping it just might encourage other businesses in South Simcoe to follow suit and step-up to support this worthy cause,” said Munnoch. “After all, it’s not only an investment in our youth, it’s really all about the future health and viability of the communities in which we live, work and play.”
